A-haunting we will go

Step softly and be sure to peek around corners. In a haunted house, you never know when something spooky might creep up on you. Whether you’re looking for a seasonal scare near Halloween or a legitimate ghostly hideout, both Baltimore, Maryland, and Baltimore County have locations that will make your hairs stand on end. Plus, if you’re willing to take a charter bus slightly outside county lines, you’ll find a nationally renowned haunted house with multiple attractions designed to give you a fright. Go for a ghostly trip with a bus, coach bus, party bus, mini bus, passenger coach or school bus chartered from Bus Charter Maryland and scare yourself silly.
Fort Howard Haunted Dungeons is the only haunted attraction within Baltimore city limits, conjuring up ghosts from Maryland’s famous Battle of 1812. A one-hour tour of the haunted grounds includes a ghostly walk through the Fort Howard Park, as well as the dungeons. The attraction is open during September and October, but Maryland charter bus visitors should take note that the tour isn’t recommended for children younger than 7.
If a spooky mansion is more your thing, The Cox’s Point Haunted Mansion can be found a short charter bus ride away in Essex, Maryland, in Baltimore County. This is the state’s oldest haunted attraction, as it opened in 1968. The mansion is open every Friday and Saturday night in October but is not recommended for women who are pregnant or those who suffer from medical conditions that could be aggravated by strobe lights, noises, fog or tight spaces.
Seasonal scares are fun, but legitimate ghost hunters are out to find where the paranormal really lurk. The Ballestone-Stansbury House in Baltimore has a family history dating back to 1659, and the house currently on the property was erected in the early 1800s. It’s believed that the ghost of Thomas Stansbury, a former owner, haunts the house. Tours can be arranged in advance for charter bus visitors, explaining the history and haunting of the house. If you can’t make it to the house, you can purchase a DVD of a paranormal investigation in the house on its website. The DVD explores the centuries-old house and features a seance by a psychic medium.
Just 15 miles by charter bus from the center of Baltimore is the nationally recognized haunted attraction, Bennett’s Curse in Jessup, Maryland. Open in September and October, it was named one of the top 13 haunted attractions in the United States by America’s Best Haunts in 2011. The haunted house on the property is known as the House of Vampyres and tells the tales of a pact formed between vampires and underworld demons. Additional attractions include the Sanctuary of Insanity, a labyrinth of pitch-black hallways, and Zombie Kingdom, an additional haunted house filled with blood-thirsty zombies.
Have a haunting good time in Maryland on a charter bus from Bus Charter Maryland. Bus Charter Maryland helpful staff will ensure that ghostly encounters and frightful apparitions will be part of your charter bus trip.
